A 33-year-old Salem man was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault after allegedly swerving at two Salem Police cars who were attempting to stop him on a domestic battery complaint.

Police say Troy Grantham was leaving his home Friday night on Lynnwood Drive, where he was allegedly involved in a domestic disturbance as police arrived.  Two officers followed him in their vehicles.  While on Hardacre Road, Grantham allegedly swerved at the two squad cars.    He was stopped a short time later in a parking lot on North Broadway and was taken into custody without further incident.

Police report the person involved in the domestic dispute did not want to pursue charges.

Grantham is being held in the Marion County Jail following a final decision on charges and a first appearance in court.
