Salem Police have released details on a pickup truck e-bike crash that occurred late Tuesday afternoon on Boone Street at the GAR drive entrance to Bryan Memorial Park.
Police report 53-year-old William Clark of East Olive in Salem didn’t initially see the e-bike operated by William Shelby of Alma Hatchery Road in Salem when pulling from GAR drive. When Clark did see the bike, it was too late to stop and the bike crashed in the pickup throwing off the driver.
Clark said another driver had motioned for him to pull out of the park entrance.
Shelby was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred at 4:23 Tuesday afternoon.
