A 17-year-old juvenile resident of One Hope United in Centralia has been ordered back into juvenile detention after new charges were filed against her following an altercation with Centralia Police and EMS personnel.
Marion County State’s Attorney Tim Hudspeth says the juvenile apparently became upset when One Hope United staff wanted her to go to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital after unknown drug usage. After they called for assistance Wednesday night, the girl allegedly struck three officers and an EMS employee resulting in three counts of aggravated battery to a police officer and one to an EMS employee.
The juvenile had been returned to One Hope United to await a delayed sentencing on a robbery charge after she had agreed not to get in any more trouble. She’ll remain in detention pending the sentencing hearing and hearings on her new charges.
