Salem Police arrested a 44-year-old homeless Salem woman on drug charges following a Tuesday night traffic stop on the 1500 block of West Main Street. Police say Chandra Thomas was originally stopped for using her cell phone while driving. After the Salem canine alerted on the vehicle, alleged methamphetamine and fontanel, along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia were found in the car. She was taken to the Marion County Jail and later released on a notice to appear in court.
Centralia Police arrested 51-year-old David Alton of Kingshighway in rural Odin for alleged domestic battery and violation of pre-trial release. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 20-year-old Thomas Meredith of Janet Road in Odin on an outstanding Marion County no bond major traffic warrant.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two occupants of a car on outstanding Clinton County failure to appear no bond warrants. 28-year-old Dustin Taylor of South Hotze and 28-year-old Jasmin Whitely of Nations Road were both taken to the Marion County Jail and later transferred to Clinton County.
Sheriff’s Deputies also arrested 32-year-old Cody Buchanan of Salem Mobile Home Park on an outstanding Marion County no bond misdemeanor warrant and Clinton County felony no bond warrant.
Deputies also arrested 42-year-old Nicole Broadhurst of Norton Road in Centralia for possession of methamphetamine and cannabis. She was released on a notice to appear in court.
Salem Police arrested 50-year-old Michael Lafour of South Washington following a Tuesday night traffic stop on his motorcycle at Marshall and South College. He was ticketed for driving revoked, no valid registration, having an open container of alcohol and no insurance. Lafour was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear in court.
