Patricia Hart, age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Born on August 19, 1948, in Centralia, to Henry O’ Brian Robertson and Ruth E. (Timmons) Robertson. In Centralia, Illinois, on November 19, 1966, Pat married Roy G. Hart, Sr., and he survives.
Pat is survived by her husband, Roy G. Hart, Sr., of Centralia; her loving children, Roy G. Hart, Jr. and wife Angie of Hoffman, and James Hart and wife Marry of Centralia. She cherished her role as a grandmother and shared a special bond with her grandkids: Hayley Hart of Terre Haute, Indiana, Trent Hart of Glen Carbon, Sydney Hart of Hoffman, Carsen Hart of Centralia, Colten Hart of Centralia, and Nicholas Robertson of Patoka.
Pat leaves behind her caring sisters: Ty Bone and husband Bob of Centralia, Deb Bourland of Ina, Holly Johnson and husband Harold of Centralia, Winnie Weemer and husband Don of Odin, Belinda Ford of Centralia, and Candy Miller and husband Curtis of Glenridge. Also mourning her loss are numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son: David Johnston, sister: Jackie Hodge, her mother and father-in-law: James D. and Edna Hart, brothers-in-law: Sam Bourland and Morris Ford, and her cousin: Linda Weible.
Patricia’s life was deeply centered around her family, and she took immense pride in her sons and grandchildren. A passionate supporter of her husband and son’s lifelong involvement in motorcycle racing, Pat was especially proud that this year her son James was named Tuner of the Year for the 2025 Supertwins Class in the AFT Series.
In accordance with Pat’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and no public services will be held. Her family invites you to hold your fond memories of Pat close during this time of grief. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Back on Track Racer Recovery.
