A 54-year-old Salem man who was being sought by police after execution of a search warrant turned up a large amount of drugs in his home has turned himself in.
Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps says Larry Woodward of 221 Marshall Street presented himself at the jail early Tuesday morning. He has been undergoing interviews by sheriff’s department detectives who will make a decision on what charges to recommend to the State’s Attorney’s office.
The sheriff earlier announced 228 grams (over half a pound) of suspected methamphetamine, an undisclosed amount of suspected cocaine, a large amount of cannabis, and a large amount of psychedelic mushrooms were found in the home.
No one was at the home when the search warrant was executed by Marion County and Clay County Sheriff’s Deputies and Salem Police.
The search warrant was sought following a Thursday night traffic stop of a woman who is believed to have just left the house. 26-year-old Breeann Stanford of West 12th in Flora was charged in Marion County Court Friday for Class X possession with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of meth, possession of the same amount of meth, and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle.
