The 1a boys golf tournament was held at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington. TTown won their first ever boys golf state title beating runner up Fulton by 11 strokes. Pana was 9th and Red Bud 11th as a team. Bureau Valley’s Wyatt Novotny shot even par to win the title by 2 strokes over Coen Pennington of TTown and Nolan Murphy of Illini West. Cisne’s Hagen Howard was 35th.
The 2a tournament was held at Weibring Golf Club in Normal. Normal University was the team champ tied with Washington and won in a playoff. St Anthony was 7th with Highland 10th. Dunlap’s Nolan Eccles shot -5 to win the tournament by 3 strokes over Althoff’s Carson Tribout. Noah Cooper of Highland was 7th, St Anthony freshman Logan Gowin 11, Olney’s Reese Glove was 42nd, Bryce Toennies of Mater Dei tied Xander Asbhy of Mt Vernon for 51st. Mater Dei’s Owen Musenbrock was 65th.
