Summersville won the state championship in Class S baseball with their 4-0 win over Steeleville. St Joe Olney beat Galatia 15-6 in the 3rd place game.
Belleville Whiteside beat Waterloo 7-3 to win the Class L state title. This is the first year Whiteside has ever had 9 8th graders to fill a varsity team in school history. It is also the first time in SIJHSAA that a Belleville team from any school has ever won a state baseball title. DuQuoin beat West Frankfort 13-3 in the 3rd place game.
In Class M, Pinckneyville beat Smithton to win the championship 9-3. St Boniface shutout St Teresa Belleville in the 3rd place game.
