The SIJHSAA State Baseball and Softball finals are today. The Class S and L Tournaments are held at the Oasis Sports Complex in Marion. Class M is at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Pinckneyville.
In Class S softball, the 3rd place game is at noon and will see Summersville taking on Willow Grove/St Mary. That will be followed by New Hope and Pinckneyville for the state title at 2:15.
In Class L, Carterville and Central West Frankfort play for the state title at 4:30 following the 2:15 third place game between Flora and Wolf Branch.
In Class M, Okawville will try to finish the year undefeated in the state title game against Anna at 3pm with Dupo and Smithton playing for 3rd place at 1.
In Class L baseball, DuQuoin and Central West Frankfort play for 3rd place at 2:30 followed at 4:30 by the title game between Belleville Whiteside and Waterloo.
In Class S, the day begins at noon with the third place game between Galatia and St Joe Olney. The state title game will see Summersville against Steeleville starting at 2.
In Class M, St Teresa Belleville will play St Boniface Edwardsville in the 3rd place game at 1 followed by Smithton and Pinckneyville at 3 for the state title.
