Summersville and Willow Grove/St Mary both dropped their Class S Softball semifinal games and will finish their seasons against each other for 3rd place on Friday at noon. Summersville fell to powerhouse New Hope 3-1 in a great game. Pinckneyville then beat Summersville 2-1 in extra innings in another fantastic ball game.
In Class L softball, Carterville beat Wolf Branch 10-4 and will play Central West Frankfort for the big trophy after they beat Flora 2-1. Flora will play for 3rd place against Wolf Branch on Friday afternoon at 2:15.
In Class M, Okawville is still undefeated on the season with their 14-0 win ove rDupo and will look to finish the season blemish free when they take on Anna in the state finals after they beat Smithton 2-0.
