The National Trail Conference baseball tournament continued with quarterfinal play yesterday. South Central fell to top-seed St Anthony 5-1. Aiden Luaritzen hit a 2-run homer in the 3rd inning. Chase Dorris was the winner allowing 5 hits and 1 run over 5.1. Colton Tockstein led SC as he drove in a run going 2-3. Hudson Moore also had 2 hits. Chase Guerrettaz took the loss goin 6 innings allowing 7 hits and 5 earned runs.
North Clay is into the semifinals after their 9-1 win over St Elmo/Brownstown. NC broke the game open with 7 runs in the 3rd inning. Cody Zimdars and Jack Compton both drove in 2 runs for North Clay. Cooper Lewis and Ian Jones had 2 hits each. Trevan Sidwell was the winning pitcher going 6 innings allowing 3 hits and 0 runs with 6 ks.
