Judy A. Sassorossi, 83, of Centralia, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Judy was born June 26, 1942, in Centralia, the daughter of George S. White and Dorothy (Garland) White. She married Robert L. Sassorossi on December 23, 1959, at the Methodist Church in Centralia, and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2013, after 53 years of marriage.
Judy is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth Sassorossi of Centralia; her son Robert J. Sassorossi of Springfield; four grandchildren: Anthony Jackson and Theresa Jackson both of Palm Harbor, Florida, Kloie Johnson (Walker) and Kyle Biagi both of Centralia; great grandsons: Axell Sass and Waylen Haze of Centralia, and Jace Anthony and Micah Jack of Palm Harbor, Florida; one brother and sister: George White and significant other Rhonda Morris of Centralia, and Lisa Shoemaker and husband Jim of Centralia; sister-in-law: Cynthia White of Dix; several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Annie Killion and Judy Stein for their wonderful care given to Judy.
She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Dorothy White; husband: Robert L. Sassorossi; a daughter, Kari Sassorossi; sisters: Linda Donoho, Lana Wernsman, and Ruby Peleaz; four brothers: Kenny White, Mark White, Bobby White, and Doug White; and several aunts and uncles.
Judy and Robert lived in Minnesota for 10+ years and moved back to Centralia when her children were younger. Judy’s Lunchbunch group was the highlight of her life, spending many birthdays and special occasions together. Judy was a member of the Central City Lioness Club and a member of Calumet Street Christian Church in Centralia. Judy and her husband owned and operated Meyers restaurant in Centralia. Her life passion was cooking, especially for her family, for which she was known for her homemade raviolis and her strawberry cake.
A Celebration of Life Service for Judy Sassorossi will be held at a later date.
