Centralia Police arrested a 16-year-old Centralia male juvenile on Friday for aggravated battery to a school employee following an altercation at the Centralia High School Annex. The juvenile boy apparently became upset with security when asked to correct a dress code problem. Two other security personnel came to assist before the Centralia High School Resource Officer arrived and took the juvenile into custody. He was later released pending court action.
Three were arrested over the weekend on outstanding no-bond warrants.
- 26-year-old Christian McClelland of Dover Street in Centralia was arrested by Wamac Police on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant.
- 30-year-old Tyler Atchison of South Locust in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Marion County felony failure to appear warrant.
- 21-year-old Heavenly Phillips of North Trenary in Salem was arrested by Sandoval Police on a Perry County traffic warrant. She was awaiting transfer to the Perry County Jail at Pinckneyville.
