The SIJHSAA State Baseball and Softball Tournaments will open this weekend with Class L and S being held at the Oasis Sports Complex in Marion and Class M at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Pinckneyville.
In Class L softball, Carlyle will open with Wolfe Branch at 3pm. Flora and Marion play at 5pm in another quarterfinal.
In Class S, Summersville takes on St John’s Lutheran at 10am, Willow Grove/St Mary will play Selmaville at 1pm.
In Class M, Okawville opens at 11:30 against Crab Orchard.
In baseball action in Class L, Franklin Park will open up their State Tournament with a 3pm game against Central West Frankfort.
In Class S, Summersville and Albers/Damiansville will play at 11, Iuka will play their first ever state baseball game at 12:30 against Steeleville.
In Class M, Woodlawn and St Boniface Edwardsville play at 1:30, Pinckneyville and Aviston first pitch set for 3:30.
