A one-year-old child received minor injuries in a single car crash in rural Patoka on Wednesday morning.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say the child was a passenger in a car driven by 22-year-old Oma Clayton of Murray Road in Patoka. She was passing another vehicle on White Haven Road near Ballance Road, got over too far, and went into the roadside ditch. Clayton eventually got out of the ditch back onto the road, then overcorrected and ran off the other side of the road.
The crash caused the back window to break out which caused a small laceration to the forehead of the one-year-old.
The crash occurred at 7:57 Wednesday morning.
