The Salem Wildcats soccer team improved their record to 13-2 and remained undefeated at home this season with an 8-1 win over visiting Altamont.
The Indians got on the board first when Salem had an own goal early, but Robby Shober would tie the game on a great assist from Payton Gullion to make it 1-1. Eli Baker would score shortly after that to give Salem a lead they would never surrender again and Shober would add his 2nd of the game before half to give Salem a 3-1 lead.
They would score 5 more in the second half as they dominated the action. Shober and Baker would finish with 2 goals, Holden Richardson and Alex Spencer also scored and Payton Gullion had 2 assists. Backup Goalie Riley Tate came in late and added an assist.
The Wildcats are at 14th ranked Olney this afternoon.
