A big regional title game today at the Salem Little League Complex in Class S featuring 2 of the better pitchers in the area. Selmaville and Gabby Goostree will take on Mabree Phelps and Patoka at 4:30 for a trip to state. Selmaville beat Patoka earlier this season in a well-pitched game by both teams.
Also today in Class M, Okawville will host Nashville, Summersville will try to punch their ticket to state when they play Ewing/Northern.
Flora won their first softball regional title since 2018 as they beat Mt Carmel 4-2 in 9-innings. Alyx Pearce threw all 9 in the win for Flora and scattered 4 hits. Kiara Crawford, Landree Kitley and Pearce all had 2 hits.
