A 49-year-old bicyclist was struck by the mirror of a passing car on Selmaville Road near the Green Acres Road intersection southwest of Salem Sunday night.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Roger Porter of Rubel Lane was transported to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response.
The driver of the car, 19-year-old Summer Fields of Richardson Road in Centralia, said she did not see Porter and locked back after hearing something striking her car and saw Porter on the side of the road.
Salem Police had warned Porter to get off the road 47 minutes earlier because he had no lights or reflectors.
The crash occurred at 9:51 Sunday night.
