The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats won their regional opener at Carlyle knocking of Wesclin 9-8 in 8-innings. Macy Canon earned the win striking out 9. Bre Pennypacker had 3 hits on the day. McKinleigh Parker had a hit in the 7th to tie the game. Canon and Hawley also added hits. Josie Gibson had 2 RBI including the game winner. Pennypacker drove in 2 and Canon had an RBI. Salem will return to Carlyle today to take on the hosts for the regional title. Game time this afternoon 4:15.
Also in Class L, Casey Mt Vernon’s season came to an end falling to Central Junior High of West Frankfort 15-3.
