The 11-2 Salem Wildcats soccer team will host Carlyle today at 4pm at the Salem Soccer Complex. The Wildcats have not lost at home this season, but are coming off a loss at Columbia snapping their 11-game win streak. They try to start a new one this afternoon.
The Orphans fell at home to Teutopolis 3-1.
Also yesterday, Breese Central shutout Wood River 5-0, Carbondale 4-0 over Marion, Effingham beat Mt Vernon 7-1, Newton 9-0 over St Anthony, Olney beat Mt Carmel 9-1, Pana 3-0 over Vandalia.
