The Class L Carlyle Regional got their first semifinal in before the rain as Carlyle beat Centralia 13-1 to advance to the Friday championship. The other semifinal between Franklin Park and Wesclin will be played at 4pm tomorrow.
In Class S Region 5, TSJ Nashville beat Central City 16-1 and will play Willow Grove/St Mary today at Rotary Park in Centralia at 6pm. Albers Damiansville beat Hoffman Trinity 19-7 and will play St Boniface Edwardsville today in the other semifinal.
Only one opening round game in the Region 7 tournament was played yesterday as Rome eliminated Odin/ACA 14-1 and advances to Friday’s semifinal. The other opening round games will be played tomorrow with Raccoon playing Field and Patoka taking on Sandoval. Selmaville will play the winner of Raccoon and Field on Friday.
Today in Region 7 Okawville will host Breese All Saints and Aviston welcomes Breese District 12.
