A two-car garage used for storage was destroyed by fire late Tuesday afternoon at 725 West 5th in Centralia.
Centralia City Firefighters say flames were shooting through the roof and touching the power lines upon their arrival. Several neighbors called in the fire after seeing a large amount of smoke envelope the neighborhood.
The house was not endangered and was vacant. Tax records indicate the home is owned by William Tockstein of Centralia.
Since there were no utilities, the cause of the fire is listed as undetermined.
