It was another busy weekend for the Salem Bobcats Soccer program.
The 7/8 grade fell to New Baden on a rainy day 6-4. Kayne Rhynes had all 4 goals for Salem.
The U14 tied with Metro Alliance FC Red. Jason Berry had 2 goals and Holden Etheridge added another.
The U14 girls went 1-1 in SLYSA play losing to Washington Soccer Academy 4-2 and winning 1-0 over Kirkwood United. Gabby Gaston and birthday girl Addy Nix had goals in game 1. Sophia Decker had her first SLYSA goal to secure the win in game 2.
The U12 girls rolled over Glen Ed SC with 2 goals from Stevie Nix and another by Sadie Holzhausen.
The Salem 5/6 boys hosted Aviston and the game finished 3-3.
The 3rd/4th Boys Red was winning 1-0 on Trenton before the match was canceled due to weather. They then lost to Aviston 3-2. Truman Scott and Maddox Smith had goals.
The 3rd/4th White traveled to New Baden and won 3-1. Kalan Heinzmann scored twice and Truman Scott had the other.
The 3rd/4th grade girls beat Breese 7-0. Rebecca Hosie, Ellie Vincent, Josie Mann and Lyla Koebele each had goals. Sadie Holzhausen had the hat trick.
The 1st/2nd coed white lost to Germantown 3-0.
1st/2nd Red is on a three game win streak after beating Centralia 2-0. Kaisen Cantley and Colt Conner scored goals.
