One person was injured in a two-car crash on West Boone near Lost Hollow Drive late Friday afternoon.
Salem Police say a 17-year-old male juvenile struck a vehicle in the rear, driven by 36-year-old Jayne Ruckman of Salem. Both drivers were treated at the scene and declined hospital treatment. A passenger in Ruckman’s car, 38-year-old Krysta Minor of Fairway Drive in Centralia, was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
Police report that the juvenile apparently wasn’t paying attention when he struck Ruckman. He was ticketed for failing to reduce his speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred around four on a Friday afternoon.
