Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 20-year-old Kinmundy man they clocked speeding 121 miles per hour. Payton Potter of East 3rd was reportedly traveling over 35 miles per hour over the speed limit when clocked on U.S. 50 in Sandoval. Deputies say he was pulled over on Hotze near Tonti Road on charges of reckless driving, illegal transportation, and speeding. Potter was given a notice to appear in court.

Three others are being held in the Marion County Jail on outstanding no bond warrants.

Centralia Police arrested 35-year-old Donald Hemmings of Wabash Avenue in Wamac on an Indiana State warrant.

33-year-old Ashley Garrett of Coulterville was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding Perry County warrant.

32-year-old Christopher Gilen of Creal Springs was returned from Williamson on a Marion County felony no-bond failure to appear warrant.

Salem Firemen were called to a small fire in a decorative tree at 502 North Marion in Salem, Friday night.  The fire was quickly put out without any damage.
