The Marion County Health Department has started offering adult high dose and regular dose walk-in flu vaccination at both its Salem and Centralia offices.

The walk-in clinics are available from eight to 4:30 at the Salem office and Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 4:30 pm at the Centralia office.  The walk-in clinics are contingent upon nurse availability.

The Marion County Health Department will be offering the pediatric flu vaccine to children ages six months to 17 years by appointment only at the immunization clinics held on Mondays at the Salem office and on Wednesday at the Centralia office.  No walk-ins will be allowed for pediatric flu vaccinations.

The high dose flu vaccine is for those individuals that are 65 years and older.  The high dose flu vaccination is available for a $90 fee.  The health department accepts Medicare Part B and most private insurance plans.

The regular flu vaccination fee is $55.  The health department does accept Managed Care Plans, Medicare Part B and most private insurance plans.
