Robert “Bob” Mansker, 84, of Odin, IL passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Salem Township Hospital. He was born on January 26, 1941, in Cairo, IL, the 6th child of Gordon and Anna (Adams) Mansker and first to be born in a hospital. He married the love of his life, Barbara Dukes on July 19, 1958, in Odin and she preceded him in death on May 31, 2021.

Survivors include his children, Debbie Robbins (Alan), Greg Mansker (Ginger Davis), and Chad Mansker (Madeline); grandchildren, Darrin Griffin, Zach Griffin, Jamie Mansker, Wesley Mansker, Jake Mansker, Shane Mansker, Derrick Mansker, Jarrod Mansker, Michela Mansker, Cory Latner, Christian Ceretto, Lindsey Mansker, Austin Mansker, Rylie Mansker, and Charlie Mansker; and numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Dennis Mansker, Ronnie Mansker, Michael Mansker; brothers-in-law, Larry Miller (Marie), and Richard Powless;  sister-in-law, Tammy Wilkins (Gerome); daughter-in-law, Deborah Mansker.

Along with his wife, Barbara Mansker, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Anna Mansker; children, Robbie Mansker, Tony Mansker, Chris Mansker; and grandchildren, Eric Griffin, Michael Mansker, Devin Mansker, and Vincent Mansker; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Bob worked as an operator for 40 years, a member of the Operating Engineers Local 520. His years as an operator had him working on projects in Illinois and California, dependent upon the season. Bob often shared stories of and was proud of his contribution to the construction of Murphy Stadium in California. He was a risk-taker and really loved playing slots, looking forward to winning. Lady Luck was good to Bob and his wife, Barb, when they would spend a night out gambling at the boat. He and Barb also found value in searching for treasures while out junking and attending auctions.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval, with Larry Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Martin Cemetery in Alma. Relatives and friends are welcome to a visitation to offer words of support and share memories of Bob with his family from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home in Sandoval. Memorials may be made in Bob’s honor per the Family’s Wishes.
