A group of buyers is looking to purchase a property on Isle Street near Sandoval city hall to build a new church. At the city council meeting on Tuesday, Jim Barnes asked the board clarifying questions about what would need to be done before purchasing the land. The city would have to accept bids for the property, and once sold, issue a special use permit for the new church. A survey will need to be completed to determine the exact boundaries of the property. The cost of surveying will be refunded should those who paid for the survey not have the winning bid.
Also at Tuesday night’s meeting, village administrator LeAnn Speiser discussed upcoming events in Sandoval. High School Homecoming is October 11 at 6:00 p.m. Trunk-or-Treat at Colonial Golf Course is October 17. The Homecoming Parade and Street Fair are Friday, October 24 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sandoval Trick-or-Treat is October 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
