A semi truck driven by a 50-year-old Tucson, Arizona man lost control when leaving I-57 on the northbound exit ramp at the Dix exit and overturned.
State Police say preliminary information indicates the truck rolled over off the left side of the ramp, leaving the driver pinned underneath.
Jefferson Fire officials say they had to lift the cab of the truck off the driver. He was then flown from the scene by Air Evac to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment of injuries.
An investigation of the crash is ongoing. It occurred at 10:29 Saturday morning.
