Franklin Park dropped their opener at the Woodlawn Softball Tournament losing 7-1 to Summersville. Skylar Gaston, Bre Pennypacker and Emma Hawley had hits with Brinn Detmer driving in Salem’s run. They Lady Bobcats return to Woodlawn today to play Crab Orchard.
Coming off her 16 strikeout performance on 8th grade day against Wayne City, Iuka’s Kenzie Collier struck out 13 more as the Lady Pirates beat Bluford 13-1 in a five inning no-hitter. Grayce Rose went 2-4 on the day.
The SC Lady Falcons will play for the IESA Regional title in Albion this morning against powerhouse Dieterich at 11am. Sc has lost twice to them so far this season.
