Lady Bobcats Lost On Walk Off At Wesclin

Franklin Park softball fell 12-11 on a walk off victory for Wesclin. Skylar Gaston struck out 7 in the circle. Macy Canon and McKinleigh Parker had 2 hits each. Gaston, Brinn Detmer, Grace Justin and Bre Pennypacker added hits. Detmer drove in 2 and Pennypacker added an RBI.


Record Setting Day For Goostree and Selmaville, Howe 1 SB Shy Of Mark

Selmaville improved to 19-4 with their win over Odin. In the win, Gwen Goostree his 2 solo home runs, Karmen Murray went 2-3 with a two-run homer, Gia Ward drove in 2 runs. Gabby Goostree picked up her 17th win of the season which she now holds the record for wins by a pitcher surpassing Keira Meredith’s 16 wins in 2023. Alana Howe surpassed the 200 stolen base mark for her career and is currently 1 away from tying Shelby Johnson’s single season record of 62 set also back in 2023.

 

Kylee Holder homered and drove in six runs for Field but it wasn’t enough as they lost to Central City 18-13.

 

Sandoval lost to St Mary Mt Vernon 15-3.


 

SCMS Lady Falcons Head To Another Regional Championship Game

The SC Lady Falcons won their IESA regional softball opener as they defeated West Salem 9-1. Claire Chasteen and Jayda Neilson both drove in 2 runs each. Skylar Webster was the winning pitcher going all 7 innings allowing 4 hits and striking out 8.
