The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats will be on the road at Wesclin. Lady Cats drop a heart breaker in a gutsy 9-8 loss to Breese. Macy Canon was fantastic striking out 12. Defense was tremendous behind her committing only 1 error. At the plate Brinn Detmer, Skylar Gaston, Grace Justin and Emma Hawley all had hits. Canon and Gaston were on base 3 times, Josey Gibson and Breana Pennypacker were on base twice. Detmer drove in 2 runs on her triple in the 4th, Kaylee Carroll, Gaston, McKinleigh Parker, Hawley and Justin all drove in 1.
The Selmaville Lady Rockets up their mark to 18-4 on the season with a 14-2 victory over Rome. Leading the way offensively Alana Howe was 2-2 with a homerun and 2 RBIs,Gabby Goostree was 1-1 with a homerun and 2 RBIs, Karmen Murray went 2-3 with an RBI, Gia Ward, Berkleigh Garden, each had hits and Grace Rau had a bases clearing triple with 3 RBIs. Gabby Goostree was great in the circle striking out 8 and only walked one batter and gave up 3 hits! The Lady Rockets travel to Odin tomorrow for a 4:30 contest.
Patoka’s Jessa Thalman drove in five runs on five hits to lead Patoka over Raccoon 24-9. She doubled twice and tripled as part of her big day as Patoka collected 17 hits. Mabree Phelps pitched 4.1 in relief allowing one hit and no earned runs striking out 11. Charlee Murray got the start allowing one hit and one earned run with 7 ks.
Flora’s Alyx Pearce threw a perfect game on 8th grade night in the win over Carlyle 12-0. She finished the game with 9 K’s on the mound. She went 2-2 at the plate.
Also last night, Willow Grove/St Mary beat Waltonville 7-4.
