The Marion County Sheriff’s Department returned 24-year-old Jacob Boss of North 5th in Mt. Vernon from Jefferson County on an outstanding Marion County no bond major traffic warrant. He was released on pre-trial conditions after making an appearance in Marion County Court on Tuesday.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating four tires slashed on a vehicle parked at a home in the 1000 block of Jefferson Street in Junction City. The criminal damage was reported just before 11 Tuesday morning.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon to a brush pile fire that got out of control on the Levi Hoffee property in the 1800 block of Charleston Road northeast of Salem. No damage was reported.
