The Salem Cross Country Team competed at the Herrin Invitational. In the boy’s race Hunter Malan was 7th overall with a time of 16:55, Robbie Shober was 8th at 16:56. There were 80 runners in the race.
In the girl’s race, 69 runners, Kendall Zimmerman was 4th overall with a time of 21:13, and Macie Thorsen was 7th with a time of 22:11, and Pyper Morton was 32nd overall. Race again a week from Tuesday at Mt Vernon.
Herrin won the boys competition with a perfect score finishing 1st through 5th at Pine Lakes.
Woodlawn High School cross country will run at the Marissa Meteors Invitational.
