The Marion County Sheriff’s Department say a 17-year-old Salem area juvenile boy was injured in a crash on Hoots Chapel Road on Saturday night blamed on ruts in the road left by construction of the large solar farm project.
The juvenile was taken by private vehicle to Salem Township Hospital who reported the crash to sheriff’s deputies. He told deputies on Monday after hitting the ruts he ran off the right side of the roadway and collided with an embankment before coming to rest off the right-hand side of the roadway.
