The Salem Community Activity Center’s first Pet Fair is being called a success.
Center Director Marcia Auvil wants to build on the event for next year.
“I feel very pleased with the way it went today,” Auvil said. “We had a lot of traffic. We had a lot of school kids, I was grateful to see them. We had some games targeted just for the children. We had cats, dogs, and exotic animals. We had things for the kids to do. The food truck sold out early, so she was happy. I feel like it was a nice event. We’re looking forward to expanding next year.”
Auvil says the exotic animals were a hit along with the cats that were up for adoption.
