Salem volleyball lost their Cahokia opener at home to 4th ranked Columbia 12-25, 17-25. Salem falls to 3-2 on the season while Columbia improves to 8-0. The JV won in 3 sets, 28-26, 17-25, 15-12 to improve to 4-1.
South Central lost to St Elmo/Brownstown in 2 sets 20-25, 21-25 to fall to 1-7 on the year. Lauren Johnson led SC with 5 kills, Bailey Wodtka added 4.
Patoka/Odin will travel to Clay City.
Also last night, Breese Central beat Roxana, Centralia over Woodlawn, Cisne beat Sandoval, Flora lost to Edwards County, Freeburg easy over Wood River and Lawrenceville on the road beat North Clay.
