Both drivers who collided at Main and Kinney Boulevard on Salem’s Westside on Wednesday afternoon declined hospital treatment.
Salem Police say a pickup driven by 84-year-old Harold Hunziker of Baker Road in Salem was traveling eastbound when it crashed into the rear of an SUV in front of it driven by 59-year-old Stacey Maxey of Tonti Road in Salem.
Both drivers were checked by United Medical Response. Salem Fire was also called to the scene.
Hunziker was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash was reported at 2:08 on Wednesday afternoon.
