A 24-year-old Kell woman escaped serious injury in a single vehicle crash on Route 37 near the Kell Road intersection late Wednesday afternoon.
Cheyenne Henry said she lost control when swerving to avoid a raccoon. A witness said her vehicle crossed the other lane and then went into the roadside ditch for a considerable distance. Henry eventually ramped up a culvert and rolled over once before coming to a stop. She was walking away from the scene when emergency help arrived.
Both United Medical Response and Kell Firemen were dispatched to assist the driver who declined hospital treatment.
The crash occurred at 5:13 Wednesday evening.
