Salem Police have arrested 30-year-old Timothy Finley for criminal trespass to property and possession of under five grams of meth. Finley was on the former Family Video parking lot where he had earlier been banned. When being booked, police allegedly found a small amount of what field tested as methamphetamine in his pocket. Finley said he was homeless.
Salem Police arrested 50-year-old Lincoln Cannon of East Church Road in Salem for alleged domestic battery. He’s accused of striking a woman in the arm and face at his residence. Cannon was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Centralia Police arrested 20-year-old Jayden Middleton of West Kell in Centralia on a no bond felony failure to appear warrant.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called out early Wednesday morning to a grass fire on I-57 at mile marker 110 six miles south of the Salem exit. The fire in the median stretched for about sixty feet. It took about a half hour to put out. The cause has not been determined. The fire call came in at 1:38 am.
