The City of Centralia issued $1,379,633 in building permits in August. The cost of roof mounted solar systems amounted to more than $1 million of the cost. The biggest systems were an $835,000 mount at Castle Ridge and $148,000 mount at Gaetti Sports. Six others were issued for smaller solar projects that totaled $137,972.
Building permits were issued for a new garage and room addition to a home at 512 Tracy Terrace.
Five other permits were issued for fence projects and two for pool projects.
Engineered Fluid was issued demolition permits for a home and shed at 1210 and 1209 McKee Street.
