Kaskaskia College men and women cross country teams traveled south to Cape Girardeau for what turned out to be a mini version of a OVC battle featuring EIU, SEMO, SIU-E, UTM, and Lindenwood University, certainly was a learning experience for the young Blue Angels and Blue Devils.

Both teams worked hard and gave great efforts on the 5K distance that featured a fast front loop and then double loops in the rugged wooded area.

The Blue Angels were led by a trio of freshmen, Rylee Brammeier, Gracie Morgan, and Alli Lammers crossed the finish line in times of 22:36, 22:56. and 22:59. The 4th and 5th counters were Ivy Donoho in 23:50 and Ryan Becker in 23:56.

On the Blue Devils side the same story held in line with freshmen Brady Marshall, Caidien Beer, and Oliver Lee taking KC first three spots in times of 17:51, 18:06, and 18:23. The 4th and 5th counters were Branson Pappas in 18:29 and Blake Heimann in 18:34.

KC will travel to Springfield for a meet hosted by UIS on Friday September 5th.
