The Salem soccer team improved to 2-1 on the season and 2-0 at the Greenville Tournament with a 3-0 win over Lebanon.

The game was scoreless through the first 57 minutes, but Salem finally scored when junior defender Payton Gullion carried the ball down the field to the offensive box where he was fouled and earned a penalty kick.  Senior Eli Baker buried the shot for his 9th goal of the season to give Salem the lead.

30 seconds later, Gullion made another run and hit a left foot cross to senior Caleb Purintun who scored.  Salem capped off their rush with their final goal from Nate Lowry in the final minute.  It’s the sophomore’s first varsity goal.

Salem will take on Greenville Saturday at 9am and a win would give Salem their 2nd straight Greenville Tournament title.
