The Salem cross country teams competed at the New Athens Invitational Monday evening.
Hunter Malan placed 3rd overall in a time of 16:10. Freshman Abram Jett was 69th and Jacob Cape was 71st.
For the girls Maci Thorsen was 18th and Eden Russell was 36th. Piper Morton placed 51st and Audrey Lybarger 60th.
Both squads were short runners so there were no team scores.
The Cats race again Wednesday at Marion.
