The Franklin Park Bobcats improved to 4-3 on the season sweeping a double header at Greenville winning 11-8 and 14-3.
In the opening game, Salem broke up the tie when an error scored 2 runs and Tanner Purintun extended the lead to 7-4 with an RBI single. Salem would plate 4 more runs in the sixth. Eli Purdy’s homer highlighted the big inning. Dakota Gregg was the winning pitcher going 5.1 allowing 4 hits and 5 runs (one earned) striking out six. Emit Gibson and Purintun appeared in relief. EJ Wolfe added 3 hits for Salem. Purdy and Gregg had multi-hit games.
The second game Ben Lux drove in five runs on two hits to lead Salem. He hit a grand slam in the fifth inning and Purintun also hit a homer. Purintun earned the win going 2 innings allowing one hit and one run. Wolfe also threw in relief.
