Selmaville out hit Franklin Park, but the Bobcats pulled out a wild 11-8 victory in a game moved to Franklin Park from the Little League Complex. For the Rockets, Jacob Buts had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs, 2 RBI from Liam Ryan and Maddux Lograsso as Selmaville had 9 hits to the Bobcats 6. For Franklin Park, Ethan Parret drove in 2 runs, Easton Keller, Jacob Lindsey and Lewis Eddy also drove in runs.
The Bobcats on Wednesday dropped a heart breaker at home to Marion 15-9. Dakota Gregg hit a seventh inning grand slam to tie the game at 8 and send it to extra innings. Marion would respond with 7 runs in the top of the 8th to pull out the win. Ben Lux added 2 Salem RBI with Nash Mulvaney adding another. Eli Purdy doubled going 2-4 with 2 runs scored. Franklin Park is off until a double header in Greenville tomorrow.
Jordan Smith collected three hits in three at bats as South Central defeated Sigel St Michael 17-4. Smith homered and doubled in the Falcons 10-run first inning. He added a double in the fourth. Dexten Lotz added 3 hits as well and drove in a run. Luke Guerrettaz, Ben Skibinski and Kash Hall each had multi-hit games for SC. Skibinski and Guerrettaz each threw 2 innings on the mound and combined to allow just 2 earned runs. SC will play at North Clay this afternoon.
Kru Cain had 3 hits as Patoka/Odin beat the Trinity Defenders 11-1 Thursday. The Mohawks broke the game open with 5 runs in the 2nd inning and outhit the Defenders 11-3. Kane Jolliff drove in 2 runs for the Mohawks and Nolan Eddy had 2 doubles in going 3-for-3. The Mohawks are at Rome today.
Iuka earned an 11-7 win over North Clay, Garret H drove in 3 Pirates runs with RBI also from Devan Jennings, Trygg Aaron and Aaron W. Vince Krajefska worked 4.1 innings allowing just 1 hit and struck out 9. Jennings worked the final 2.2.
Also in baseball action, Effingham beat St Anthony 4-1, Lawrenceville shutout Flora 4-0, Marion 12-0 over Benton, TTown beat Newton 22-4 and Altamont lost to Whiteside 18-0.
