Darin Wade Chitwood, age 58 of Bonne Terre, Missouri, formerly of Salem, passed away at his home.
Darin was born on October 6, 1966, in Salem, Illinois, the son of Paul Chitwood.
Survivors include his father, Paul Chitwood, and wife Eileen of Salem; brother, Chris Chitwood of Centralia; step siblings, Steven Geurin, Jeff Geurin and wife Tammy, and Tony Geurin and wife Robin; nieces, Chelsey and Sydney Geurin; along with several cousins, two aunts, and several extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Leckrone.
Darin loved Jesus. He had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help anyone out anytime that he could. He loved guns and target shooting. He enjoyed being out on the farm and loved animals.
Graveside services for Darin Wade Chitwood will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Paradise Cemetery in Salem with Phil Martin officiating. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.
