The Wildcat golf season got underway at the Hickory Stick Invitational in East Alton and finished 5th out of 18 teams. Kyler Sapp was 4th overall shooting 77 that included an Eagle on Hole 4 at Belk Park Golf Course.
Also for the Cats, Landen Maxey shot 86 for 30th, Jaxon Ward shot 87 for a 32nd place finish, Scout Puricelli 90 for 45th, Eli Lograsso 95 for 64th.
Red Bud won the event with their 314 followed by Father McGivney 316, Staunton 332 and Hillsboro 337. Salem and Litchfield both shot 340.
Salem returns to action tomorrow when they host Christ Our Rock to the Salem Country Club.
