Balloon Fest in Foundation Park officially opens at three Friday afternoon with activity continuing through early Sunday evening.
The first balloon flight is around 5:30 Friday evening, followed by the first glow at 7:30. The Friday activity concludes with DJ Will Smith with Porta Party DJ on the main stage at 8:30 pm.
Saturday begins with a balloon flight over Centralia around 6:30. Foundation Park reopens at three. Tethered Balloon Rides will be available at six pm. The cost is $15 per adult and $10 for those 12 and under. The second Balloon Glow is set for 7:30 Saturday evening. The evening concludes with the US Army Rock Band on the main stage at 8:30.
Sunday activities starts with a balloon flight over Centralia around 6:30. Foundation Park reopens from noon to six for family day activities with an evening balloon flight around 5:30 for local pilots.
A $10 wristband gets you into all the activities on Friday and Saturday. There is no charge for Sunday.
All balloon flights and glows are subject to weather cooperation.
$5 parking is available at the Gragg Street entrance to Foundation Park, along with the Centralia Cultural Society, Foundation Church, Trinity Lutheran Grade School and Church, and at Boxd Storage. Handicapped accessible parking via SCT shuttle from City Hope Church at 1000 East Second to Foundation Park will also be available from 3 to 10 pm Friday and Saturday. Parking at City Hope is free. The shuttle costs $1 per person, or walk the five blocks to the Pleasant Street entrance.
