Sandoval has won both of their games on the season. Tyanna Tomes had 7 strikeouts in their 22-6 season opening win over Central City followed by last night’s win over Centralia Junior High.
Breese All Saints has their first ever school softball team. Their inaugural game was a 15-4 loss to Carlyle. Hayden Knuf hit a home run, scoring the first run in ASA history.
Harrisburg defeated West Frankfort 14-4 in Jr High Softball action on Tuesday. With the victory, Harrisburg Coach Alicyn Dowdy picked up her 100th career win as the Head Softball Coach.
Also Dieterich lost to Cumberland 9-5.
Field had their game at Woodlawn postponed in the bottom of the 3rd inning with Woodlawn leading 4-0.
